Nancy was one of the dearest, sweetest Christian ladies I ever had the privilege of working with. She had the knack of making people feel welcome, whenever she and Jeff led any sort of group here at Connection Point Church. I will personally miss her.
Words cannot describe the loss that I feel. We spoke many times on the phone and laughed about our families and childhood. Her sweet and soft spoken demeanor was such a breath of fresh air. She was always willing to help pray for you or with you if you needed the Lords guidance, Totally devoted to our Lord in all ways. I will miss her laugh and sweet spirit. I pray her family finds peace in knowing that they will see her again.

The thing I always appreciated so much about Nancy was her genuine “nice lady” demeanor to everyone she met. Her wonderful solos at Connection Point Church were always a highlight of the service. Our sincerest condolences to Jeff and the entire family. May the God of all comfort sustain the whole family during these difficult days.

We will deeply miss Nancy. She was always smiling and gave so much love to others in so many ways. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. She always put others before herself. She was kind, thoughtful, loving, caring and just so sweet! She loved her family very much and talked about them with such joy in her heart. She was a beautiful person and I will always cherish the moments we had together through all the years, ever since we were young children cousins. Nancy Kay Taylor, 67, passed away at home on December 17th, 2021 in West Lafayette, IN. She was born on November 21st, 1954 in Gary, IN, to Harvey Swinford and Marian Macchia. During high school, she met and then later married Jeffery P. Taylor on May 5th, 1973. Together they spent 48 happy years together, raising their family and watching their children and grandchildren grow. After many years as a homemaker and a pastor’s wife, Nancy decided to work as a home health care aide and later as a Registered Nurse. Nancy took great pride in her job caring for a wide range of people in need. She always received wonderful feedback from her patients about how much she cared for them. Nancy’s greatest joy in life was her relationship with Jesus and passing that love for Him to others. She served Him in many ways such as working at various churches as a secretary, Sunday school teacher, home group leader, piano/keyboard player, VBS organizer, and as a special singer for many services. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion for others, and by her family and friends who all love her very much. She is survived by her husband, Jeffery P. Taylor; her sons, Ronald P. Taylor, Timothy J. (Sarah) Taylor, and Jonathan P. (Rebecca) Taylor; her grandchildren, Matthew Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Elijah Taylor, Isaac Taylor, Selah Taylor, and one on the way, Reynah Taylor; as well as her brother-in-law, Dan Hershman & her niece Nancy Rebarich. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her adopted father Ronald Throw, her sister, Brenda Hershman, and her nephew, Daniel Hershman. Services for Nancy will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Connection Point Church, 2541 Cumberland Ave., West Lafayette, IN 47906. Friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. following visitation. Burial with graveside services will be held in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
